Sunny is the Managing Director – North American Investments at Corinthia Global Management.

He has had an extensive career in various finance-related roles. Most recently, Sunny was Managing Director of Originations at Barings between 2017 and 2024. Prior to Barings, he led the Chicago office and was Head of Originations at Fifth Street Asset Management (now part of Oaktree Capital Management) where he served from 2010 to 2017. Prior to Fifth Street, he was a Director of Sponsor Finance at CIT from 2006 to 2009. Prior to CIT, he spent over 6 years in various leveraged finance and sponsor coverage roles at JPMorgan (and predecessor firms) in both New York and Chicago. Prior to graduate school, Sunny worked as a Senior Auditor at KPMG LLP between 1994 and 1997. Sunny earned his BS in Accounting from Indiana University and an MBA in Finance from the University of Michigan Ross School of Business.
